Wachira Nakhwan focuses on dispute resolution and litigation in banking, commercial and employment lawsuits as well as white-collar criminal lawsuits at all levels of the Thai court system.

Prior to joining the firm, he served as head of litigation at a reputable, listed company in Thailand. He has worked in the areas of dispute resolution and litigation for more than 20 years.

Relevant Experience

  • Acted as legal counsel for plaintiffs and defendants in civil , criminal, bankruptcy, rehabilitation, intellectual property, international trade, administrative, labour, and consumer cases.
  • Acted as legal counsel for enforcement, involving the process from delivery of judgment until completion of public auction.
  • Acted as legal counsel for commercial contracts, including civil proceedings (financial institutional loans, security arrangements, promissory notes, and letters of credit), enforcement, debt restructuring contracts, assignment agreements, commercial contracts for a group of financial advisory firms.
  • Acted as legal counsel for a financial Service company and its group companies, including domestic and international leading organizations in a variety of industries in relation to civil and criminal proceedings.
  • Capital Nomura Securities Public Company Limited (CNS) – in charge of the defence of a criminal case lodged against CNS, its employees and others, as the Defendants. The charges asserted by the Plaintiff are on the ground of fraud and violation of certain sections of the Securities Law.
  • Marubeni Corporation, Bangkok Office (MC) – in charge of (i) the defense of labor disputes brought by MC’s former employee against MC claiming severance pay and unfair dismissal from the company; and (ii) representing MC to institute a claim against MC’s employee in respect of a breach of the employee’s obligations.
  • Morgan Stanley’s AMC in Thailand – in charge of the defense of several civil claims and criminal charges brought by the AMC’s customers and their related parties, totaling about fifteen cases.
