Profile

Benjamin Wigger is a Special Counsel in the Firm’s San Francisco office and a member of the Intellectual Property practice group. He focuses his practice primarily on  new patent application drafting and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patents.  He has represented clients in a number of technological areas and his experience includes the procurement of clients’ intellectual property rights in the fields of industrial design, thermal management, database management, virtual and augmented reality devices, cloud computing architectures, consumer electronic devices, automated machining/manufacturing processes, medical devices, additive manufacturing, solar power, feedback control systems, wireless charging, magnets, PCB design/manufacturing, surface treatments and waterproofing.

Mr. Wigger has also assisted clients by performing pre-litigation due diligence, conducting freedom to operate assessments, preparing USPTO appeal briefs and assisting with EPO oral proceedings.

Prior to launching his legal career, Mr. Wigger was a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he worked as an F/A-18 Pilot.
