Profile

David advises on a wide range of corporate tax issues and transactions, in particular those with an international element.

David is a partner on the tax and ERISA team in Hunton Andrews Kurth’s London office. He has extensive experience advising on the tax aspects of cross-border M&A transactions, structured finance transactions (advising both asset originators and arrangers), as well as the UK and international tax aspects of corporate group reorganizations.

David is the author of a number of articles in various tax publications and is a committee member of the UK Branch of the International Fiscal Association.

Relevant Experience

  • Advised a major international pharmaceuticals producer and numerous other multinational operating groups in the context of trade receivables securitizations.
  • Advised several European multinationals on the UK tax aspects of their UK energy projects.
  • Advised Lactalis in connection with the acquisition of Rachel’s Dairy, by means of a mixed asset and share deal.
  • Advised SNCF (French state railway) on the merger of its interest in the Eurostar link between Paris, London and Brussels into a single joint venture company.
  • Advised several major international vehicle companies on the structuring of the financing of their fleet operations throughout Europe.
