Min Yang is a senior associate of the firm’s corporate team resident in the Beijing Office.
With more than 7 years of experience in addressing complex legal problems and putting herself in the client’s shoes, Min is able to quickly and completely grasp both a client’s business needs and the legal issues of a case. This ability positions her as a problem solver who delivers specific legal advice in a well-targeted manner.
Based on her extensive number of cases and ongoing study of new laws and regulations, Min has accumulated immense knowledge and practical experience in sophisticated cross-border transactions involving Asia and especially China, allowing her to assist clients with mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investment, personal information protection and private equity legal matters in a variety of industries.
Before joining Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, Min Yang worked as an associate in two other leading Chinese law firms for many years.

- Advised a listed Chinese Electromechanics company in acquiring around 73 percent ownership of a JV company (US$184.6 million) from its foreign shareholders and other two domestic shareholders.
- Advised a leading US PE company on investment in a Chinese state-owned company engaging in special article logistics business.
- Advised a leading US PE company on investment in a domestic technology company.
- Advised a leading domestic PE company on investment (RMB 50 million) in a Chinese state-owned company engaging in heavy industries.
- Advised a private company in Wuhan on investment (RMB 140 million) by six private equity investors.
- Advised a machinery manufacturing company on investment (RMB 60 million) by a domestic PE company.
- Advised a leading domestic PE company on setting up a liquor distribution company with three other investors.
- Advised a Swiss fund on setting up a joint venture company with a domestic company.
