Peter assists clients with the development and financing of energy and infrastructure projects, international acquisitions, investments, joint ventures and other cross-border commercial transactions in the Asia-Pacific region.

As a US-qualified associate, Peter focuses on energy and infrastructure project development and finance, international acquisitions, investments, joint ventures and other cross-border commercial transactions in the Asia-Pacific region. He also regularly advises Korean clients on general corporate and regulatory compliance matters.

Peter has extensive international experience, having worked in Thailand, China, Korea, Uruguay and the United States. In 2014, Peter was a short-term consultant at the World Bank in Washington, DC.

Peter has a deep understanding of Korean business culture and is fluent in Korean.

Relevant Experience

  • Counsel to the lead investor in an approximately US$218.9 million preferred equity investment and US$18.5 million senior loan financing in the MahaNakhon Project, which includes a 77-story, 314-meter-high mixed used tower that is the tallest building in Thailand.
  • Investor’s counsel to a major Thai energy firm in its approximately S$75 million (approximately US$55.7 million) preferred equity investment in Singapore’s largest renewable energy solutions provider.
  • International counsel to a global wind turbine provider in connection with its joint venture and exclusive turbine supply arrangements for a potential wind and solar energy project in Western Australia.
  • Sponsors’ counsel in relation to the development and equity support instruments for the financing of an approximately US$1.1 billion, 1,200 MW supercritical coal-fired power generation facility in the Philippines.
  • Counsel to project developers in connection with joint-venture partnership arrangements for the development, construction and financing of approximately 550 MW coal-fired power plant in the Philippines.
  • Counsel to the borrower in relation to the development and project financing of an approximately 550 MW coal-fired power plant in the Philippines.
  • International counsel to a fast-track energy solutions provider in relation to supply, installation and operation of duel-fuel gas turbines with a total capacity of 72 MW in Tasmania, Australia.
  • Counsel to a major IPP in the acquisition of indirect minority interests in an approximately 460 MW coal-fired power plant facility in the Philippines.
