Collaborative, strategic tax counsel across global and domestic jurisdictions
Robert Browning develops and implements creative and practical solutions to complex tax problems for individual and corporate clients of all sizes on federal, state, local and international tax matters, including regularly representing them before the IRS, state taxing authorities and in U.S. Tax Court.
Working closely with accountants and other advisors to his clients, he counsels on tax provisions in asset acquisitions, stock acquisitions, transfers of LLC membership interests and overall deal structure, always with an eye on tax-saving strategies. Robert represents public and private companies in an array of industries, as well as clients involved in:
- Emerging businesses
- Complex real estate transactions
- Renewable energy and low-income housing tax credits
- Real estate investment trusts (REIT) and real estate mortgage investment conduits (REMIC)
