Profile

Steven’s practice focuses on defending and preventing labor and employment disputes. Steven is a litigator who works with employers to help navigate and solve complex federal and state employment issues. He has represented clients at all stages of litigation and defends employers against wage and hour claims, wrongful termination, retaliation, discrimination, and sexual harassment. He has also represented companies in high-stakes trade secret litigation, both as plaintiff and defense. Steven’s experience includes representing employers in both class actions and single plaintiff lawsuits, as well as defending employers in actions brought by administrative agencies and representative actions brought under California’s Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA).

Steven understands that prevention can often be the best form of defense. His advice practice includes assisting clients on a range of employment issues, including worker classification issues, state equal pay laws, trade secret protection, employee mobility, and privacy issues under the California Consumer Privacy Act.

Steven brings a distinct perspective on international employment issues to his practice. Before law school, he lived and worked for several years in South Korea.
