Tanzeela represents employers in state and federal litigation and advises employers on a wide range of labor and employment matters.

Tanzeela advocates for employers in a number of different sectors of the economy, including the retail, manufacturing, health care and hospitality industries. She has significant experience litigating claims of employment discrimination and wrongful termination, as well as violations of wage and hour and leave laws. Clients regularly seek out Tanzeela for advice on questions related to criminal background checks and accommodations for employees with disabilities, among other topics. Tanzeela is also a skilled negotiator and has achieved many favorable resolutions for clients using creative negotiating techniques.

Tanzeela has extensive experience defending employers before the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and equivalent state and local agencies around the country. She has represented employers against claims of discrimination based on race, sex, pregnancy, age, disability, religion, and national origin, as well as defended against numerous claims of workplace harassment and retaliation. In addition, she helps employers comply with federal and state laws and regulations by preparing employee handbooks, policies, and various employment agreements.
