Tyler’s practice focuses on the development and financing of energy projects, with an emphasis on renewable energy assets.

Tyler represents financial institutions and sponsors in all aspects of the acquisition, development and financing of energy and infrastructure projects across the United States. He has represented clients in a wide variety of complex project financings and transaction structures, including tax equity transactions, purchase and sale agreements, and secured lending transactions. His work includes assisting in the drafting and negotiation of all major transaction documents.

Relevant Experience

  • Represented equity investors in the financing of a 384 MW portfolio of four projects located in Utah and Michigan.
  • Represented equity investors in the financing of a 200 MW project, which was the largest single solar project investment in Illinois.
  • Represented equity investor in financing projects with a combined 75 MW generating capacity and a related 300 MWh battery energy storage system, which was the first integrated utility-scale battery storage and solar project on the island of Oahu.
  • Represented syndicates of lenders in over 20 secured lending transactions involving tax equity investments, back-leverage financing, mezzanine financing, community solar financing and bridge financing of utility-scale solar, wind and battery storage projects, with an aggregate financed value of over $3 billion.
