Brent Mosby Rejoins Former Colleagues in Dinsmore’s Indianapolis Office

May, 2023 - Louisville, Kentucky

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP is pleased to announce that Brent Mosby has joined the Firm’s Indianapolis office as a partner in its corporate practice group. Brent joins Dinsmore after nearly two decades as the lead in-house lawyer for a variety of software, real estate and public pension companies. With his extensive experience drafting and negotiating commercial and technology-related contracts, as well as his proven leadership with M&A deals, strategic transactions and post-closing integration activities, Brent is a phenomenal addition to Dinsmore’s growing and dynamic national corporate team.

“We are extremely pleased to have Brent with us, as both his commercial contract and M&A experience add to our already strong transactional practice in Indianapolis,” said Bobby Lucas, chair of the Firm’s corporate department.  “Brent’s time spent as an in-house counsel, in addition to his experience in private practice, allows him to bring a unique perspective to client service.”

Clients turn to Brent for his vast experience across a broad spectrum of corporate and transactional matters knowing that his highly responsive and pragmatic approach will ensure a seamless transaction. With Dinsmore’s coast-to-coast presence and deep roster of talented attorneys, Brent is excited to be able to introduce his clients to the Firm.

“In the Indianapolis market, Dinsmore has found a sweet spot as a sophisticated, full-service firm with a nationwide footprint that is able to provide services to clients at attractive rates,” Brent said.

In coming to Dinsmore, Brent is able to reconnect with some of his former colleagues from Wooden McLaughlin, the firm Dinsmore merged with in 2020. The expansion enabled Dinsmore to respond to client demand and support the growing number of businesses and corporations in central Indiana or with interests in the state. Brent praised Indianapolis office managing partner Misha Rabinowitch for being able to carry over the culture he grew to love when he was at Wooden in the early 2000’s.

“It is sometimes difficult to maintain the culture as a firm grows, or in this case, merges with a larger firm,” Brent said. “Misha and the team have managed to preserve the office’s special culture, which speaks to the synergy that has been found with Dinsmore and the strong combination that has been forged.”

Brent earned an undergraduate degree in Business Administration (Finance) from Indiana University and his J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. He serves on the board of trustees of the Indiana United Methodist Children’s Home, on the board of directors of the Indiana United Methodist Children’s Home Foundation, and on the board of directors of the Zionsville Swim Club. Brent, his wife and two daughters are members of St. Luke United Methodist Church, where Brent serves on the Staff Parish Relations Committee.
